The Writing Process

Most of our clients have already given a lot of thought to their writing projects before they contact us. Therefore, we listen very carefully as they explain what it is they wish to convey through the writing they hire us to provide.

We ask our clients to consider carefully who their intended audience is and what their true message is, so that we may tailor the writing to speak directly to that audience. We record our interviews so that as we perform the writing we can capture the "voice" of the client in the writing. By understanding the voice of our client and the viewpoint of the intended audience we are able to help minds meet at a point of understanding where speaker and listener are united and the message is delivered.

With over 20 years of professional writing experience we know how to bring your ideas and the details of your experience alive on the page and make them interesting and exciting for the reader.

Although we work relatively quickly, we take the time necessary to write our clients' books. The simplest personal biography requires around two months of our collective time. We require a little longer to write other books, including business related biographies, histories and memoirs. This is because we understand that they will come under greater public and media scrutiny and there is no margin for error in relating important details and facts. Any mistakes will reflect on the "author," as will any accolades, so it is paramount to us that your book is thoroughly researched and that the assertions are substantively supported and related.

Although many clients prefer to visit us in our Scottsdale offices at the time of their interviews, business clients often prefer that we visit them at their facilities. We are pleased to meet with you for interviews at a location that you prefer and that affords you a higher level of productivity.
